A tall, commanding goalkeeper with outstanding reflexes, Myhre has proved a worthy successor to the great Neville Southall. Hugely popular with the Everton supporters, especially for his ecstatic celebrations when goals go in at the opposite end to the one he is defending. Thomas was rewarded for an excellent season in 97-98 with a place in Norway's world cup 22 for France 98 and made his full debut for his national side in the match against Italy during season 98-99. Thomas unfortunately missed the start of the millennium season at Goodison after breaking an ankle whilst training with his national side and was loaned to Glasgow Rangers in a bid to regain his full match fitness. Now back in the side due to being fit again and Paul Gerrard picking up an injury.
